Awesome!! Welcome to Montreal Davis, imagine it can be like that all winter... and worst when the snow is not fluffy. And for your information I do have a shovel in my car. ;)

Fucking Ridiculous. I am glad someone is logging this shit. I could run a whole freaking blog based strictly on bullshit airline stories.

wow lowell. thanks for that. i agree with everything you've said. for me it's hard to witness friends who need money not be able to get the money that's owed to them. i've been in the position of both having money owed to me and owing others money at the same point in time. that caused a lot of stress in my life, as i felt like i was in debt to my friends, but in reality my bottom line was in the black. i definitely feel the pain of all parties here.

Hey Davis, I like thinking about stuff like this. But lots of people know you better than I do. That said, I think five years from now most of you won\t miss the money but might miss old friends. Try to keep these friends in spite of all the stupidity. Mr Big Time definitely fucked up but it sounds like everyone else was too hands off. Apologies on all sides are definitely in order. Get a contract or form a corporation or at least an accountant to handle the money.
See you, Lowell

The other question is, had Johnny Big Shot invested properly and made the team members a lot of money, how would they react? Would they still be pissed that he invested their share without their knowledge? Would they let it slide because he made them even more money?

Besides, if they can wait 40 something minutes, and re-open the door of the plane for a meal, why can't they do it for a passenger that is 5 minutes late?.

I once was going to Colombia to visit my family (and incidentally, bring Natalia to Canada). The connecting flight from Ottawa to Toronto got delayed because some parts of the plane froze and they had to de-ice them. We sat inside the plane for about an hour and a half. When we finally made it to Toronto, the flight to Bogota was still on the ground but we were told they could not re-open the door for us so I and the 4 other passengers watched the plane leave while we were waiting be be re-routed. All other passengers went through the states the same day. I -as a Colombian national, am required a visa to go to the states even if it is just in transit. I didn't have one. My only option was to wait two days for the next Air Canada direct flight to Bogota. Once I get there, it takes me another day to get to my hometown. Since I was only going for a 6 day visit, waiting two days for the next flight was not an option for me. Once I had gotten there, I would've had to leave the next day. So I had to cancel my trip (it was Christmas) and didn't get to see my family. Just because they wouldn't reopen the friggin' door for us.

So, no sympathy here either.
